Pre-Cast Brick Arches incorporating lintels

Manchester Brick & Precast , a division of Kevington Building Products, manufacture structural lintels and non structural brick arches using the precast technique.

This alternative to prefabrication (bonding) involves cutting a positive key in the back of the masonry.

Concrete is cast onto the rear face thereby creating an interlocking mechanical bond between the face and the structural backing concrete. This is sometimes the preferred method and arches can be manufactured to lengths of 8 metres / 5 tonnes!
