What we did on the project

Double faced precast segmental arches, incorporating stone keystones, were used on the boundary wall for this project. The units were installed on traditionally built pillars. All 12 segmental units were installed in one day. This made significant savings and eliminated the need for expensive timber centres and formwork.

Nine No.2 tiered semi-circular arches were also supplied for the front elevation of this commercial retail park. They were installed inside a glass entrance façade.

The semi-circular arches incorporated a backing lintel to co-ordinate with internal blockwork dimensions.

Internally the semi-circular arches were rendered and painted. Due to the open plan glass canopy, cold bridging was not an issue.
